Course description

This course is meant for counselors/therapists. It deals with the various concepts of “Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults.” The course will generate awareness about the issue of abuse in its various forms, and its treatment and prevention. The course addresses sociological and psychological dynamics, moral dimensions and legal aspects of this issue. It is meant to develop advanced skills and understandings.

Note: This course is meant for those who are already in the field. If participants want to discuss cases, it should be from the viewpoint of treatment planning; the assumption is that the cases are already handled legally. This class is not a place for therapy or reporting. Certificates will be issued only to those participants who have completed the program with all the assignments. Also, there will be no recordings, taking of photos or videos during class.
